Full Stack Engineer

At Pirxe, we're building technology that changes how brands create visual content.

We create photorealistic 3D digital twins of products, while our platform Moonbase turns them into marketing content at scale — hundreds of assets from a single product scan, without another photoshoot.

We’re looking for an experienced engineer to maintain and develop the platform: build new features, improve reliability, and take responsibility for changes from implementation through deployment.
Your initial focus will be to understand the architecture, address the most consequential reliability and usability issues, and deliver improvements with appropriate regression coverage. Over time, you’ll help shape both the product’s capabilities and its technical direction.

The project is an evolving monorepo with four independent services. Our stack includes JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, Vite, Python, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Storage, with Docker and GitHub Actions supporting deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop features across the workflow builder, motion editor, compositor, and central application.

  • Maintain AI provider integrations and background generation jobs, improving retries, progress reporting, and recovery from failures.

  • Improve how users save drafts, manage media libraries, and export generated assets.

  • Preserve secure authentication, per-user data access, and clear boundaries between services.

  • Diagnose issues across frontend, backend, storage, and rendering pipelines, making failures easier for users to understand.

  • Maintain tests, dependencies, deployment workflows, and technical documentation while steadily reducing technical debt.

Requirements

  • Proven experience developing and maintaining SaaS products, including shipping features, supporting users, and improving reliability after launch.

  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js skills, with practical experience building React and Next.js applications.

  • Solid knowledge of HTTP APIs, asynchronous processing, third-party integrations, and browser/server interactions.

  • Experience with PostgreSQL and cloud object storage, including migrations and reliable handling of media assets.

  • Working knowledge of authentication, authorization, JWTs, and protecting user data.

  • Confidence with Docker, CI/CD, automated testing, and production troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency with AI coding tools such as Codex and Claude Code for development, debugging, and refactoring, with the judgment to critically review generated code and verify its correctness, security, and fit with the existing architecture.

  • Experience understanding an existing codebase and making thoughtful, incremental improvements.

  • Enough Python familiarity to maintain rendering and automation scripts.

  • The ability to turn product needs into manageable technical work, explain tradeoffs, and follow through independently.

  • Experience building similar tools—such as visual workflow builders, creative editors, media-generation platforms, or marketing automation software—is a strong advantage.

Nice to have:

  • experience includes AI image or video generation APIs, Three.js, React Three Fiber, WebGL, browser video encoding, and Playwright. Familiarity with Clerk, pnpm/Turborepo

What we can offer

Why Pirxe?

We're an early-stage startup, so we won't sell you a long list of corporate perks.

Instead, we can offer:

  • competitive compensation tailored to your experience,

  • flexibility in how we work together — employment contract, B2B or contract of mandate,

  • real influence over a product that's still being shaped,

  • direct collaboration with the founders, product team and clients,

  • the opportunity to work at the intersection of design, AI and 3D technology,

  • a chance to help define a completely new type of design role.
